I would like to suggest that when people use an acroynm when they post here, that they state what the acroynm stands for at the first use of it, please? Drives me crazy having to look them up all the time..sorry to be so cranky...maybe I need a glass of wine or something!

Hate to be a "rag..."
Helvella has created a document with lists of the acronyms and abbreviations that come up on here :
dropbox.com/s/og3lmxa1dqadb...
I agree with you that people should state the meaning the first time they use such a thing, particularly with the ones that are less commonly used.
Note to helvella : I couldn't get the Lab Tests link in your acronyms and abbreviations document to work.
Hmm..it opened right up for me....
I have updated the link in your reply above. That is now a direct link and doesn't try to push towards a preview!
I opened it using the updated link and the Lab Tests Online link at the top of the PDF took me to the list at the bottom. The UK link at the bottom worked for me.
It is entirely possible that in some browsers or PDF viewers it doesn't work, or a prompt appears which you have to accept, or... well, you get the picture.
PS I'd very much rather people told me than left it not working. Please.
I'm fed up with my PC. I think I'll have to do a complete re-install, starting with windows then installing all the programs I use. But it's something I'd have to be in the mood to do... *Sigh*
I have lots of (software) problems, not just an issue with reading a PDF document.
Very much agree. The other day I included "TRH" without explanation. I think that in the context I assumed everyone would know. I was rightly pulled on on it. My mistake and duly corrected.
What does rag stand for?
