You need to go to your doctor immediately and get full blood tests for thyroid function to find out what your current blood levels are. You will then know how much to dose.
Also ask for vitamin D, folate, ferritin and vitamin B12 to be tested.
Hi Gill, you are probably going to crash eventually. I agree you CAN feel better off Levo. The problem is that you have an autoimmune condition/s. They affect your brain/nerves. Taking Levo does not help the autoimmune condition. Neither does NDT or T3 even when you have a perfect TSH. The triggers for the autoimmune conditions have to be treated. If gluten is the thing or if other hormones are unbalanced, even gut infections and viruses can be the culprits. You probably need to replace some thyroid hormone if your thyroid can not produce what you need. Then you should start trying other treatments for the autoimmune conditions. There are herbs you can take for small intestine bacterial overgrowth which might correct your microbiome. These infections can affect your brain so it's about time doctors opened their eyes and see that steroids are not the answer for straightening out your immune system.
Hi Gillw1978, it depends what your bloods were, if you have Hashimoto's etc. It would be good to check your bloods first and go to the doc to discuss.
Thank you for your replies xx
How much were you taking when you stopped?
