Hi,

I've been suffering with problems for a long time now and wondering regarding private testing, I was looking at the medichecks website and wondering what is the recommended test to try, is the Thyroid Check

Ultravit £99 sufficient?

Once done, where do you ask regarding interpretation of the results and if you need treatment regarding it, how do you go about doing this?

My main main symptom has been extreme fatigue & the NHS just sort of shoved me with CFS label and told me to do CBT, other symptoms have been severe wrist tendonitis, extreme brain fog, weakness, low blood sugar feeling, very poor short term memory, vertigo, weight gain and my newest symptom which made me think about thyroid problems again is whenever I wake up , I have very sore feet and end up hobbling around until it lessens, which I think is plantar fasciitis? which I've heard can be another symptom hypothyroidism.

appreciate your help, regards.

The Thyroid Check UltraVit is a good test, frequently recommended here and gives an excellent picture of thyroid and nutrient status.

You can post results on the forum, include the reference ranges, and members will comment.

There is no guarantee that your GP will a accept the results, some will, some won't, but it's a starting point and if your GP doesn't like the fact that you have had private tests, then if there are any problems you can suggest that they do their own tests.

Yes the ultra vitamin test for £99 is the one recommended

Often on offer on Thursdays for £79 from Medichecks

All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, GP will be unaware)
