What were you told by GP.

The Vitamin D result is very high over range. Has GP mentioned toxicity?

Your TSH is suppressed.

Your Free T4 is low - below range and FreeT3 above range. What did GP say about these?

It would help if you could give details of medication and supplements you were taking before these blood tests and changes GP has presribed (for informed comment).

Previous results + dose of meds & supplements would also be helpful.

I take it you have stopped Vitamin D supplementation.

Hi I was taking 50mg T3 only then gp said my t4 was too low and i needed an increase to 100mg t4 (i did not tell her i was taking t3 as i was worried she would refuse to treat me) prior to this test i was taking 50mg t4 and 25mg t3 to try for a better result before she saw me again, I was supplementing with D3 which she new and said to only take it in the winter months, I currently supplement with b12, b complex b6, k2, e and magnesium, devils claw and selenium thankyou.

This could explain your Thyroid results (low TSH ; high FT3)

What dose Vitamin D and when did you stop taking it? Have you had blood test for Calcium?

What has GP said about high Vitamin D result ??

Why are you taking B12 and B6 in addition to B complex?

What are your symptoms?

Why are you taking Devils Claw ? It contains Ethanol. Have you told your GP and asked advice about this?

If you write a new post with full information and details of dose of all tablets etc. Dates of tests and symptoms - hopefully someone from Admin will respond with some guidance.

That's a high dose of Vitamin D. Not sure when you stopped (how long before this test was done ) but I have read that it can take a while for levels to come down. See what your GP says.

I'm not familiar with Devils Claw, wouldn't take it personally, but from what little I've read about it it's only for short term use anyway ?

Hope you get your meds sorted and feel better over the coming weeks.

ps

Hi again printer

I just read your post from 2yrs ago (sorry didn't check last night, just thought you were a new poster) and saw that your Vitamin D result was excellent.

With Vitamin D result over 100 (129) why on earth have you been supplementing?

Printer I have just read through your posts and read that:

Clutter gave you excellent replies and guidance 2 years ago. She told you that your B12, & Vitamin D etc levels are all good - so I can't understand why you are/ were supplementing at all.

The "B" vitamins are water soluble - but Vitamin D is fat soluble and stored in the body. Therefore taking too much can cause toxicity. The dose you were taking is only for short term use in cases of prescribed Loading Dose for the treatment of severe deficiency /deficiency before a daily maintenance dose of between 800 and 1200 IU . You didn't even have insufficiency!

Clutter also gave some guidance with regards to your Levothyroxine and T3. Perhaps you could look again at these replies from 2yrs ago.

Hope you can now get everything sorted with your new GP.

All the best.
