Is it safe for me to have an iodine contrast dye injection for a CT Angiogram Coronary ? I have hashimotos and am concerned that the iodine will damage my thyroid health.

I had one two years ago and was violently sick quite a few times later that day. I had no lasting effects (I think) and the Doctor asked on a later ward round if I had suffered. When I told him I had,he just said 'oh bad luck'. I think they know this happens. I am not sure that we should have them and hope someone comes along who can say for sure. Mine was for ovarian cysts.
