PCOS and acne

Hi I have all the classic symptoms of PCOS. Hair loss, weight gain and this horrible acne. It started in May and have never seen anything like it. Gets me so down! I have a 2 yr old and been trying for a baby but no luck as of yet. I was just wondering has anybody been given anything to treat the acne as the topical stuff form gp is doing nothing!! Please help

Adult acne was one of my symptoms of hypothyroidism. Long before I was diagnosed hypo. I had every treatment going for acne; in fact ‘acne’ is not quite the right word, ‘boils’ would be better. In ones teens, twenties and thirties, having spots and boils on ones face does knock ones confidence rather. It was only when I started on NDT when I was diagnosed that the spots disappeared, and that was in my forties. I also had a large cyst removed from my ovary, long before my hypo. diagnosis when I had never heard of hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism was never suggested as a reason for acne, cyst, weight gain, overwhelming tiredness and overall pain. You are on this forum so you will know better.
