I have been feeling bad last 3 months (something stuck in my throat almost all the time) i did ultra on my thyroid and found 3 small nodules The left thyroid lobe shows two solid nodules sizes (5.5 X 6.7) mm the other (5.2 X 5.8) mm

The right thyroid lobe shows one nodul measuring (3.9 X 4.4) mm

Right lobe measures (38 X 13 X 19) mm

Left lobe measures (36 X 12 X16) mm

Last week i just knew that i'm in hashimoto , took levo 25

my question is .. is this thing will stay forever in my throat and should i worry for it? (it's really annyoing)

It's not likely to be an actual thing in your throat, more like your swollen thyroid pressing on your larynx. The swelling will go down in time.

How long have you been taking 25 mcg levo? When are you due to get retested?

Thanks for your reply .. i started my medication only for one week , i'm in hashi.. you mean it'll be better later on when levo works on !

Should i take levo 50 instead 25 ?

Unless you're very young, or very old, or have a heart condition, it would have been better to start on 50 rather than 25 mcg. But, if you increase it yourself, will you have enough?

Only one week is not long enough to notice any changes, but yes, either the levo will help, or the swelling will go down by itself. It's not for life! :) I had it a long time before my Hashi's was diagnosed, and it did go by itself.

I'm 32 years old and they told me to start with levo 50 , some said to start with 25 and increase it to 50 later.

for the thing in my throat is almost 3 months with it , i was making sure it's related with hashi ( & will go by medication ) so not to worry about .. thanks again

Oh, yes, it's to do with Hashi's. The full name is Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. The 'itis' bit at the end means swelling.

At 50 you should be starting on 50 - it's not that old! lol I don't know who 'they' are, but those that said 25, don't know much about it. :)

Hi Sarahmsa

I have Hashimoto’s too, I remember I put a post about this as this was happening to me.

I made a connection that my throat felt restricted if I had anything diary.

I’ve cut diary out and I have been gluten free since September 2018.

I’m introducing diary back in slowly to see what happens.

Gluten is a no no, I’ll be gluten free for life, as it helps with my gut and of course helps if you have Hashimoto’s.

Best wishes

So did the feeling of having something in your throat go away when you stopped dairy? What happened when you added it back?

Not what you're looking for?
