I have a full time job and love my job. It is not stressful currently. I live alone but have a partner that has to look after their 89 year old father.
I have an under active thyroid and recently have secondary adrenal insufficiency. However, the cause has not yet been found.

Hi Pam, welcome. I don’t know much about adrenal insufficiency but I think you might be interested in the Circadian T3 method by Paul Robinson. If you google CT3M you will find some information and there is also a book which describes it in detail. I understand that the approach is life transforming for many people, but I don’t know if it’s suitable for you as I don’t know much about tests for adrenal hormones. There may also be an online blog and perhaps Facebook groups that might be helpful to you. Paul Robinson’s personal story through thyroid treatment is likely to be of interest to you. I believe he’s written three books on thyroid now but it’s the CT3M that I think will be most helpful to you.
It is so difficult to predict how long it takes to get well and for some people recovery is patchy. I read your other post too, it is difficult when self employed, although maybe it will give you more flexibility around your health?
Helpful to me too. I am in the middle of an adrenal workup. Some of the tests are ones I'm not familiar with. I'm a retired nurse and can understand medical explanations. But when I asked to have the test explained I could tell the person explaining really had no clue. So I finally got my answers from 'Dr Google.' This is scary because the results of testing mean the decision about adrenal surgery can go either way.
Perhaps you could gain some knowledge reading Dr Peatfield book, how to look after your thyroid. He is very knowledgeable regarding thyroid and adrenal health dysfunction.
