I’ve been recovering from being very unwell for about 6 months now and recently I’ve felt loads better - normal in fact!
Today though, I feel nervous, jittery, stomach not right, legs feel like lead and I feel like my heart is going to beat out of my chest with the slightest exertion.
Is this a flare? If so what could I have done to start it? And what do I do to stop it?
Hate this, I’ve been hypo for about 12 years but this is a new thing for me 😢

It’s quite possible you are having a flare up, I get them regularly.
I see you were going to have private blood test for thyroid, have you got the results as sometimes it might be you are not on the correct thyroid dosage.
Presume you are on medication?
I’ve recently started Levothyroxine and I’ve been increased to 100mcg with blood tests every 6 weeks.
I feel awful, so tired no energy at all, muscle pain and neck stiffness.
Post your results including ranges and the experts will help.
If it is a flare - and that's not certain because people often don't know they're having them - then you didn't do anything to cause it. And, there's nothing you can do to stop it.
When did you have your last blood test? Might be the time to get one, now. If you have had a flare, then your Free levels will be high, and your TSH could be anywhere, because it takes a while to react.
To even out the swings from hypo to 'hyper', you need to keep your TSH suppressed.
Thanks ladies. I realised after I posted that there’s a whole load of other similar posts - sorry!
Yes, I am waiting on bloods done two weeks ago, hopefully they’ll be back Monday/Tuesday.
I’m so frustrated as I had spent the last three weeks feeling so well. After nearly 9 months of being really poorly, I was ecstatic!
I missed my Levo on monday as I ran out of meds and earliest I could get them was Tuesday - would a day have made such a difference this soon? Maybe if my levels are low anyway?
My tsh from recent gp check was about 0.75 I think - medichecks will give me the full gamut though 👍🏻
