One patient's experience (Ramblings, Radio 4, 17 May 2018)

It was good to hear Clare Balding and her interviewee, Jenny, discussing hypothyroidism so intelligently on BBC Radio 4's Ramblings this afternoon. I think that the emotional impact of hypothyroidism - both in terms of having to give up so much of your life when you are ill, and also the actual biochemical effects of thyroid hormone deficiency on mood, stress response and anxiety levels, was so refreshing. Clare was able to compare Jenny's experience with her own, of course, and the programme offered some hope for us all.

The programme is on iPlayer, here: bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0b2mgj2 . There's also an option to download it, if you wish.

The link merged with a following fullstop - some browsers might handle that differently. Try again.
