so ive been through the list of indicators for Hypothroidism.

they are as follows :

muscle weakness & fatigue especially arms & legs

little energy until early afternoon

low stamina

brittle hair & nails

constipation

always colder than others & deffo cant tolerate the cold

joint aches in shoulders,elbows,wrists,fingers,knees

tingling hand easpecially along the little finger & 3rd finger

irregular / barely there monthlies

depressive symptoms

anxiety symptoms

agitation / feeling hyped up

puffiness on left side of my face especially my cheek & jawline & not from dental pain or issues.

loss of interest

ZERO libido

ears pop daily where i hear ringing in my ears

postural hypotension ...i go dizzy vision blacks out & then i get headache at back of my head & neck afterwards

frequent swollen glands

im still chasing down recent bloods from a mental health unit to compare them to october tsh 1.4 as ive no idea what is a normal range for me.

i did see a doctor there who was concerned about me having BP on the low side ...but generally its not been an issue.

i was just wondering if it postural hypotension was linked? im not worrying or anything but alot of the above makes so much sense ...especially when im going to bed with my shoulder joints, ankles knees and arms aching like ive had the flu!

weight hasnt been an issue...its always stayed the same no matter what my appetite is like.

Have you had a blood test for B12? When you find them, please post any tests you've had including the ranges. Hope we can help!

I have a lot of these symptoms, except the period issues (I have different ones!) Whilst I don’t black out, I more often than not get stars in front of my eyes on rising fro a seated or lying down position.

You sound like classic chronic fatigue, which is what I have been diagnosed with but I’m not sure it fits my symptoms. I’ve never had the swollen gland and sore throat that everyone seems to complain of.

I’m not sure my post is going to help you, I just wanted you to know that I have all the same things as you and I’ve been hypo for a long time. My health went down hill last year after a period of prolonged stress and, as they can’t find anything wrong, they’ve diagnosed cfs. I don’t think it it, I think it’s thyroid/adrenal/hpa related but proving it could be tricky.

Good luck x

i alot of what im suffering with does sound more like hypo ...if the gp comes back and says vit D folate & ferritin are low...then im thinking surely the thyroid wont be functioning healthily with those being defficient anyway :/
