If you could become a member of TUK, if not one already, it will help enormously to try to change the medical attitude with regard to dysfunctions of the thyroid gland.

The more members we have the stronger we become as we do need to educate the 'professionals' who are mainly lacking in commonsense and by believing one 'rule' helps everyone. No flexibility at all.

Hi Shaws. Done. Completed my online membership application and put my cheque in the outgoing mail. Sent $50.00 USD as the ROW membership is 35 pounds. Current exchange rate today is One British pound =1.352069 USDollars. Mailed it to the Clacton on Sea Essex address and sent an email to Louise Roberts to be sure my info arrives. (Don't have a pound sterling key on my computer.

I couldn't agree more. Thyroid UK is a wonderful charity group. It has a hugely informative website... you learn more on there than you will from all the doctors you could see in a lifetime!
They are pretty well known in the 'endo' world, and they try to fight hard for all of us.
