I've had my bloods tested before going to see a specialist next week.
One thing that surprised me is that my antibodies have gone up:
TGA: was 234, now 353.
TPA: was 33, now 34.8.
I was just wondering if anyone had an idea why this might have happened? I've gone strictly gluten free. I'm also on next to no dairy (occasional splash of milk in tea) compared to eating lots of it prior to the first test. I honestly thought I'd see a reduction in them.

I would have thought so too. I gave mine three months before I tested and they had definitely decreased in that time. Not a massive drop but enough to keep me on the gluten free road and my antibodies came down steadily once they began to drop.
I don’t know how long you have been gluten free for, but I’d probably stick at it for a bit longer before deciding it isn’t working. Might be worth double checking that gluten isn’t sneaking into your diet somewhere.
I had the same thing happen to me on a recent blood test.
I can’t understand it either as been gluten free since September 2017, followed closely by dairy free, even given up fizzy drinks.
I’ve been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s as a result of my antibodies, and wonder if the increase in antibodies was due to a flare up I was having at the time, plus I was not on any thyroid medication (Levothyroxine).
I’m on some now so if I tested antibodies again, it may of reduced?
Antibodies are highest just after an autoimmune attack. They come in to clear up the mess. But, they fluctuate all the time. You need to keep your TSH suppressed to stop the flares, and they will go down.
I have hashi.s 6 months ago my tsh was35.5 and doc phoned up said are you ok .told me what the tsh was .and said increase levo to 150 from 125 .blood test again in 6 months.i asked for my results and was surprised there was no other info on it. Just had another blood test. Results are 15 tsh.i have an app next week .enen though i have had this for years and have had a few of these wierd things happen i don.t really understand any of it.
So what should i be asking for when i see her next week.
Not much to ask, at the moment. Your TSH is much to high, and you are very hypo. You don't need any other tests to tell you that. When the TSH gets down to one, that's when you need to see your FT4 and FT3.
How long had you been on 150? Your doctor is wrong to leave you six months before a retest. You should be retested six weeks after an increase - or decrease - in dose.
Was on 125 for about 1 1/2 years its happened before where my tsh has gone mad .doc always asks have i been taking my levo .the last time 6 months ago i had to beg for a blood test cos i felt ill.and had to wait till i was due my 12 months check. Had test it was 35.5 .levo was put up to 150 . For 6 months .and just had retest last week.
