I have had two letters now, one from my CCG quoting they based their decision on Liothyronine following guidance from NICE and also one saying the same from Department of Health. I asked the DOH if I could have copies of this guidance but not forthcoming so I went to NICE and this is what I got yesterday. NICE has not issued guidance as yet. I don't know if I can add both pages here but the relevant bit is on the first page anyway.

Hi Summer64,
Unfortunately, it's a common misconception that NICE have issued guidance because the Clinical Knowledge Summary for hypothyroidism is on the NICE website.
Thyroid UK is putting together some templates that might help people in regard to T3 and they will linked from our home page, hopefully this week.
