I'm looking for my wife who has Hashimotos, trying to get an appointment with the GP is tedious and not often fruitful, her symptoms have worsened and I think it's time she should see a specialist.
We're in Lincolnshire an would love to hear some recommendations
Thanks everyone

Have you got her thyroid blood test results? You really need TSH, ft4,ft3, peroxidase and tgab antibodies, vitamin b12, folate, ferritin and vitamin d set results to get an idea what is going on so ppl can advise. If necessary, and it is for many, myself included, you can get all these tests done with blue horizon or medichecks via Thyroid UK website
Just going by whats said on here, no personal experience. Too many diabetes specialists who know little about the thyroid. I'm needle phobic too 😥 and though I struggled first time I still preferred doing it myself and now its soo easy . I certainly think private bloods and results posted on here is the best first step... Just my opinion. There is so much knowledge on here its impressive. Then if you want to see a specialist still THYROID UK have a list of recommended specialists, recommended by forum members. 🙂
