After posting on here and receiving plenty of advice regarding vitamin testing, and ensuring that one is always at the "top-end" of the range, I just wanted to let you know that thanks to your advice, I have now been able to get my doctor to agree to B12 / D / and Folate testing. Bloods are being taken tomorrow!

As per the advice from this group, I had these tests completed by Medichecks, and took the results to my doctor. She agreed last night that the results gave cause for concern, and warranted further investigation and probable treatment. I am absolutely thrilled at the outcome of the appointment (small steps with a thyroid condition!!), and so grateful to all the wonderful members who take the time and effort to try to help us all! Without you, I would never had made the progress that I have made in the last month! I will always be grateful! Thankyou :)

As you have been taking supplements with B vitamins in any NHS test is now unlikely to show low B12. But GP could still test for Pernicious Anaemia

You said you had been tested by Medichecks - so why not post those results .... ???? - the ones that gave your GP concerns :-(

They have already been posted and analysed on another thread, so I didn’t want to go repeating myself - hence no results on this thread. I just wanted to share a little bit of success with the group, and confirm that it was the advice of this group that gave me the confidence to go back to my GP and challenge my course of treatment. It was really just a public thankyou that’s all!
