As I don’t sleep very well I listen to World Sevice on th radio quite often.
In America the head of a pharmaceutical company ( can’t retain names , sorry) was jailed for 7 years because of his company raising the price of a drug by 5,000%
The drug was for AIDs sufferers , not that that is relevant . However, it’s because of their private medical system and they (the investors) obviously were not having any of that. Wouldn’t you think that our NHS would do similar 🤔😬😬😬

Not sure really because I'm sure the private system investments differs from the NHS. I'm not sure who the investors in the NHS are? It would be good to know and even more interesting to determine if they have an interest or even a 'vested' interest in non contesting of price rising of drugs. From what I understand Gcart, the exorbitant rise in T3 meds is apparently due to safety testing costs, however, as I've said before what is the point of this if it means as a result, costs of meds then become prohibitive to prescribe?
I understand it's easily misunderstood as it is badly reported by news agencies. I am also not defending the guy but his demise has nothing to do with price hike of HIV medication licenced by his pharma company.
He was charged and convicted of securities fraud.
He stiffed hedge fund investors and that's the only reason FBI went after him and put him behind bars.
Again, I'm not defending him but if he didn't go after rich guys, you'd never hear about him in the press and I highly doubt he'd be jailed for raising the price of the drug.
Apparently also he's been giving the same drug for free to people who couldn't afford it....
