Have just asked this question on the AF forum. Does anybody feel they have a finite amount of energy to use during the day and once that’s gone they struggle?

Absolutely! That's a well-known feeling, I'm afraid.

That was brilliant. Thank you.
Took them two years to diagnose gall stones about the same time and see there is a connection there too.
If I remember correctly it is known as a spoon theory. You have that many spoons of energy (like spoons of sugar let's say 8-)) a day and if you spend your spoons till they are empty there is no energy left till replenish it again, usually next day after a couple of days. The trick is to know how many 'spoons' you have on daily basis and not to overspend...
Thank you, Grey Goose also shared that analogy yesterday. At least in this weather I haven’t expended many spoons the last two days.
Absolutely!
I was originally diagnosed with ME and fibromyalgia.
Two years later, Dr Sarah Myhill diagnosed, correctly, underactive thyroid that was long missed by the NHS.
For 18 years, I have had a certain, low, level of physical/cognitive energies, and when it's used up, I have to sit and rest in silence - no noise, images, pc etc. Just to let my brain rest and hope that the next day I'll feel a bit replenished and can start pacing again.
Optimising my NDT [currently on 3.5 grains daily] was critical in helping me move from bedridden to be able to get out 2-3 times a week for a couple of hours with luck, but I am still far from 'normal' and I became sick at 33.
Have just read your profile, you do seem to really be growing through it. I have been very lucky with my treatment although the newest Dr at our Surgery flatly refused to let me see an endo. I just steer clear of her now!
