Hi guys, after the hospital loosing my last lot of bloods i now find just a tsh result and no frees, this is completley useless on its own!! Despite still feeling poorly my tsh level as come down but not as much to feel well on
Tsh now. 2.32 (0.30-4.20.
Tsh back in december 5.26 same lab range free3 4.4(3.1-6.8) free4 12.8 (12.00-22.00.
it is really annoying they just ignore frees, i have contacted endos secretary and she said she will do the blood form with frees on it at the request of endo aslong as i go to their hospital to get it done instead of locally.
If this fails how do you make sure you get them done? Please tell me what you do to resolve this?
I am taking 2.5mgs of carbi and i think i am still overmedicated-i dontbknow without other results-i felt better with tsh below .xx😊😊

I have to request blood form at gp and then to hospital and then forward results to endo. My gp dont do thyroid bloids there. I think it is the labs that refuse frees if tsh is in range. Silly as tsh dont give a accurate puc- do you get frees done everytime?
If necessary, you can get your blood tests through one of our private labs. The do home pin-prick tests and make sure you are well-hydrated a couple of days before the blood draw I shall give you a link and Blue Horizon or Medichecks do them.
I think GPs are often restricted in what they are allowed to order - I have had FT4 tested by my GP, but my TSH was non-existent at the time. I gathered that they would test FT4 under these circs, but not FT3.
FT3 tests have only even been ordered by the endos. They order TSH, FT3 and FT4 every time, even if all three have been within range.
Most of the time, my bloods are drawn at my GP's surgery, using forms supplied by the endo. If it goes back to the hospital lab with the end's signature, there shouldn't be a problem.
Hi valarian, my endo secretary is going to get them done but in meantime i have called gp surgery and i did not realise they take bloods there so i booked in for this friday and she said they will note that all bloods need to be done as they are for consultant. Lets see what comes of that then, it just does not help as you cant see the big picture of things. X
