Hello my mother has thyroid issues all symptoms present for overactive she has a goitre and drs just do bloods and say she’s ok. I want to take her to see a private dr one who looks at symptoms not just bloods. It’s ruining our lives as she is so ill with it and it’s awful to see her suffer. I live In Cambridgeshire. When you have results start a new thread for people to comment. Sadly few GP's understand thyroid conditions and Endocrinologists mostly specialise in Diabetes. So many people suffering.

For full Thyroid evaluation TSH, FT4, TT4, FT3 plus TPO and TG thyroid antibodies. Plus vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12.

Ask your mother to get a printout of her thyroid results and ranges from her GP receptionist and post them in a new question and members will advise whether her thyroid levels are normal or abnormal.
