Hashi's & possible pre-menopause

Can I ask for advice on this subject.

I'm panicking & scared if I'm honest.

I'm Hashi's & 45 & for this past year my cycle has changed. Plus I'm still trying to get to grips with my Hashi's. Prior to this my cycle would commence every 28 days but for the past year it's been starting every 34 days. However this month I got a shock as it reverted back to 28. I'm approaching mid cycle & got a bigger shock today as my cycle is trying to start again.

I felt a little crabby with twinges late this afternoon thinking to myself it could possibly be my 'mid cycle madness' as I call it.

I've searched old posts but not found anything about Hashi's & pre-menopause.

Does/can an underactive thyroid condition change again with pre-menopause? As Dr P advised me my Hashi's has probably come about since having my 2nd little boy?

Any thoughts & experiences would be SO reassuring.

I will make an appt with my GP to.

It may be peri-menopause which can go on for years before menopause. You only have mid-cycle madness? My sister claimed to have pre-menstrual tension, during menstrual tension and after menstrual tension. Seemed to improve after her husbandectomy though!

Oh Clutter, thanks so much, I can't stop laughing.

I wouldn't mind but I don't look anything like gorgeous Carol Vorderman! & I know she had a tough time of it.

Anyhow it seems I got a bit of time to go but before it really starts.

I can concentrate on the important things now like starving myself & getting Botox so I can keep hold of my husband 😂

Better check whether hubby likes Barbie first. He might like hanging on to love handles.
