Raoudha,

Hypothyroid definitely.

You are very undermedicated to have T4 so far below range while you are taking 50mcg Levothyroxine. TSH is low-normal and one would expect to see high TSH with low FT4 so you may have central hypothyroidism which is the result of insufficient production of bioactive TSH due to a pituitary or hypothalamic disorder.

What were your TSH, FT4 and FT3 results and ranges when you were first diagnosed?

Thanks for feed back Clutter

First TSH was 1.21 T4 14.57 TPO normal anti thyroglobulin :450

Start with 050 levotyrox 1 month

Raoudha,

Have you made a typo in your new results? Is FT4 5.43 or 15.43?

Raoudha,

Okay, that's better. You said T4 was 5.43 in your opening post. Ignore my first reply.

There's been a small improvement on 50mcg in 1 month and there may be further improvement in another couple of weeks. It can take up to six weeks to feel the full impact of the 50mcg dose and some symptoms may lag behind good biochemistry by a few months.

So T4 fifteen.43 is it ok Please Clutter

Raoudha,

Yes, 15.43 is fine. It was 5.43 which concerned me.

Raoudha,

Thyroglobulin antibodies are positive for autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's). There is no cure for Hashimoto's which causes 90% of hypothyroidism. Levothyroxine treatment is for the low thyroid levels it causes. Many people have found that 100% gluten-free diet is helpful in reducing Hashi flares, symptoms and eventually antibodies.

Merci beaucoup you are Fantastic around there

Hypo. Mid range free t4 and under range free t3. If you are on levo you need a dose increase and you don't seem to be converting well as free T3 is under range so you might need t3 or at least to be sure that B12, folate and ferritin are optimal.

Hi again

My T3 was below the threshold and I supplemented with Sea Iodine for a couple of months. It went from 51 (which is below the suggested minimum of 60) up to 71
