It was hard to achieve an increase, but half a tablet increase is better than none. Problem is breaking them!!!! I have wasted a few already! Would I be able to take 1 one day and two the next making two x one and a half tablets?? Not sure how they work.
Thanks

Levothyroxine is easily halved with a pillcutter which your pharmacy will sell for around £3. If you can't easily halve the tablet then taking one and 2 tablets on alternate days is fine.
Practical idea! See if this works! Grind one up with a mortar and pestle. Add a littlebaking powder to bulk up. Mix thoroughly. Gather the dust together and try to spread equally into two parts. Take one, put it into water and mix vigorously and swallow the suspension. Make sure you take it all. Store the other one in an airtight vessel till needed. Then repeat as needed. You'll probably burp every time but that's the baking powder (sodium bicarbonate) working. Indigestion and pill taking made easy.
Yes, hard work for very little! I have been gluten free since November, no improvements. I struggle with omitting soya as it seems to pop up all over the place and I have had it unknowingly a few times!! Endo still says no need for treatment, so getting a raise when GP didn't even want to re-instate my 25 mcg dose was a result however small. I saw thoracic surgeon last Wednesday and I have a neurogenic tumour growing from a nerve from the spinal canal which he says is unlikely to be cancer, but I will need major surgery in 3-5 weeks!
Sorry to hear about the need for the op. Before the op they will do oodles of tests, including heart and bloods. Mention the thyroid to them and ask them to add that as they like all the numbers to be good before the op. Good luck!
