Are you symptoms a direct result of just starting Levo, or increasing, or maybe changing brands?

I’ve just been increased to 75mg just over two weeks ago

Same brand of Levo still? I assume you're taking a 50mcg and a 25mcg tablet.

25mcg is teva and 50mcg is mercury

Lots of people have had trouble tolerating TEVA brand. Take it back to Pharmacist and request Mercury Pharma instead

Trouble is it can be difficult to get hold of 25mcg Mercury Pharma Levothyroxine. You may have to cut 50mcg in half. Or you can take 50mcg/100mcg alternate days.

Small independent pharmacies are best for locating difficult to source medication

Very very many thyroid patients only get on well with one brand of Levothyroxine

Teva seems more troublesome than most. (But others love Teva - it's the only lactose free Levothyroxine)

Ok thank u so do u think it could be that as it only started since taking 75 mcg

So they're not the same brand then. You have 2 brands - Mercury and Teva. It's not a good idea to mix brands, best to stick to one brand only, although doctors and Pharmacists will say it doesn't matter.

Teva has caused a lot of side effects for a lot of members. The 'new formulation' is that it is lactose free.

Check the patient information leaflet of both brands and check the list of ingredients. You should find some difference in them. Also check the list of side effects and see if yours are listed in the Teva leaflet.

I think you might find that you are reacting to something in the Teva tablets.

If you think you are reacting to the new Teva tablets then stop using them. To achieve 75mcg daily you can either

1) Alternate days 100mcg and 50mcg to average 75mcg or

2) Cut a 50mcg in half with a pill cutter or sharp craft knife and take 0ne 50mcg tablet and half a 50mcg tablet daily to give 75mcg.

Tell your Pharmacist that you have had a bad reaction to the Teva brand and you want to stick to the mercury brand. Also tell your GP so that he can alter your prescription so that you get enough to give you the increased dose.

Try making and drinking your own Probiotic Kefir to boost your immune system.

If you take a look at my past posts it will help to explain the huge benefits of taking kefir. It cleared up my gum, teeth, mouth, ulcer issues.
