Muscle Spasms. What might help provide relief and avoid reoccurrence.

Muscle Spasms . What worked for me. I saw a post from someone experiencing severe muscle spasms. I also experienced this and was unable to get any help or advice from my GP. The worst area was my back and I suffered for months. The muscles either side of my spine were rigid for days on end. Undertaking Internet research I came across Transdermal Magnesium. This provided me with immediate relief. I used it several times a day initially and also started taking oral Magnesium and Potassium. I haven't had a re-occurrance in 3 years. If I miss supplementation I am prone to cramps. (I believe that is the Potassium deficiency). Currently I am taking oral Mg daily and use the Mg spray when I have pain with arthritis in my spine as it also helps ease this.

The spray can be bought from many chemists and health food shops or you can mix a far cheaper and equally effective mineral solution using Hymalayan Salts dissolved in hot water until no more will dissolve. I put this solution in a spray bottle and save pounds.

Thanks for posting Lrvrly, I experience calf cramps when I run out of epsom salts (thought I'd get some for Xmas!). I also used to have the spray. I remember a member used to warn folk against supplementing potassium 'tho, I just eat the occasional banana. :D
