Thyroid enlarged on one side

Hi my thyroid is enlarged on one side is this to do with being underactive

Mine is also larger on my right side I’m having a ultra sound scan to be diagnosed it can either be over active or under active

I had ultrasound 2 yrs ago which showed it was damaged and enlarged I am wondering if I need another I don't know how often I need scans on thyroid

I would definitely go back to your GP and ask to have another one and maybe blood tests
