This is a follow on from this post :

Where zebady posted her high cortisol results.

Yes, I agree, not much point in posting this without telling us how you did it! :)

I have been on 12 hour shifts not teasing

I started by taking phosphytidal serine (not sure about spelling) then getting 7-8 hours of sleep, walked twice a week about 6 miles a week, drank small glass of fresh orange per day, ate 2 small chunks of 70% dark chocolate per day

Had a medium glass of berry smoothies a day, drank filtered water, cut out all caffeine, it took 6 months!! 😀

Hi

Where did you get this from?

Joanneconnor profile image
Joanneconnor in reply toCup-cake7

I found all this in the Internet after a lot of scouring

sounds like a good plan except for the 6 miles a week for me personally. I applaud you for doing that!! I pretty much do these things, except for the walking, but mine is still very high at night. I do take the PSerine too. good luck with finding something that works and for sharing it with us.

I've only just seen this. Thanks so much and well done you - may I ask where you buy pserine?

Joanneconnor profile image
Joanneconnor in reply toCup-cake7

I think I got them from simply supplements uk, you should be able to find them easily if you use google shopping

And another More important thought, were/are you hypo? if so how did affect your levels pls?

Joanneconnor profile image
Joanneconnor in reply toCup-cake7

Yes I was hypo I am on NDT and it didn't effect it at all, not sure what your high cortisol symptoms are but I was a mess. Really bad brain function, mood swings, emotional, angry, fed up, snappy. Not good but it all went after it lowered

Why I am asking all these questions is because I am having trouble tolerating levo, I've only been up to 50 and anxiety screaming at me and tinitus doubled

So after reading doc peat he saying treat adrenals first!

I have bought some ndt but been a bit scared to try with all this going on

Joanneconnor profile image
Joanneconnor in reply toCup-cake7

Don't worry about taking NDT try and figure out equivalent dose and change over, there's nothing to be scared of if you cannot tolerate Levo you've nothing to lose

Joanneconnor profile image
Joanneconnor in reply toCup-cake7

I did adrenals and NDT together I didn't sort adrenals first

And I get emotional outbursts now and again, I feel generally low, almost broken hearted so,etimes, yes I feel irritable, my mood swings, I've moved into feeling so impatient recently, pretty well negative glad half empty, and a feeling of being stuck, spring in step nowhere to be seen, everything too much effort

Did you send off for the saliva kit? My results are

8am -24.15 (9-32)

11am -14.97 (4-10)

3pm - 9.41 (2-7)

8pm - 3.21 (1-5)

I constantly has a feeling of being overwhelmed couldn't deal with every day life
