If you put in your latest results and ranges then someone who is in T3 only may be able to help. Why do you think T3 only would be better for you?

T3 sorted me

I’ve had hashimotos for 30 years and have never been regulated! I lhad a great female endo for 17 years that diagnosed me and when I Iost her everything went to hell! In all these years, she was the only knowledgable one I ever met! My Dr now is the first one to let me try NDT, and the rest is below!

Roy489 I want to order from your chemist, How do I phase it? new to all of this!

How much would I order? My Doc has left me with nothing because I won’t take Levoxyl with it. Just T3 alone shows my labs are great, a leg that was swollen twce the size has all subsided and I’ve lost 10 lbs in 10 days! Feeling great, with Levoxyl I’d start swelling again and back to side effects! Thank you, marin5 He will know me as Marie!

my levels are TSH 1.7 —0.3-5.0 Ferritin 19 low —20-288 free T4 o.9 —0.9-1.7 T3 139 —80-200 Folate/folic acid 16.7 —5.2

collected 11/28/2017 while taking Nature throid, but can’t get it now, also allergic to pork. legs, feet and ankles swollen bad! I started on T3 l2/16/ with supervision, at the time my left leg was swollen twice the size of the right and the skin like alligator skin, hard as a rock. Ankles and feet also swollen. By the 6th day on 25mcg of T3 most of the swelling had subsided with help from adifferent diaretic also! my calves had softened considerably! My Dr sent for another blood test on 12/22. I will post when I get them! the supervision that I got was from someone on Health Unlocked! I had no choice because Dr’s office sent the wrong meds and would not take back, then insurance wouldn’t pay for new ones. It was the week end, so I decided to try this, and happy I did! but now Dr. wants me to add levoxyl to T3, which also always caused swelling. I said I don’t want to, that I’d like to stay on T3 only for a few months to see how it goes??He hasn’t answered yet!

the doctors don't have to take it themselves so they don't understand or seem to care, I was feeling like shit for 2000 till 2017 until I refused to take any more levo when I stopped felt great for few days then had to go back on it and felt bad again, so told doctor I would not take it again. got to see a specialist Yes on T3 75mcg a day and feel ok much better

started T3only on12/16 till 12/26 and ran out. I did it n a week end when I had no product because of my doctor ordering generics, when he has always had to correct it because I pay an extra copay each month for brand names , being allergic to the fillers in generics! The pharmacycalled him to verify and he OK’d to send to me. He keeps tryng to reorde, but Ins. won’t pay and pharma won’t take the returnsso He can’’t even order what I don’t want.,they said the Ins. thinks I’m taking the 1 twice a day scribed, but I was taking 3 in AM& 2 bed time 5-5mcg’s of T3 feeling s much better, my labs great, but he said he doesn’t trust it and talking about safety, ethics, etc.even though so many are taking t3 only for years and thriving! Will the chemist serve me without a script? My Dr won’t give me anything. he’s worried about my well being and yet knows I have no product, and I got very sick in the past when his office made a mistake and I was with out product for Month and a half! Please answer my Questions? also what strengths ? the cost? and doinneed A script? Tank you!

My Doc is angry and took a lot of time trying to convince me tobtake T4 but I’ve had Hashimotos for 30 years and do not convert t4 to t3 so t4 for all those years and suffering, I won’t go back there! How much do you order at a time and how much for the 5mcg T4?

thank you,marin5

Have you tried having the DIO2 test to see if you’ve inherited the gene? That might serve as proof to your doctor that you do not convert at all or well.

Also have you thought of changing GPs if the current one is so ignorant to your thyroid issues.

Are you 100% gluten free with the Hashimotos?
