Hi I am due for a blood test this Tuesday morning for thyroid test and diabetes.

I have the nasty cold virus at the moment for over a week but still have the sore throat and dry rasping cough.

My question is would this affect my blood test results and would it be better to cancel for another day. Thank you for any advice kat

Cosycat,

A virus can elevate TSH. You could wait longer for the blood test but it can take 2-3 months for a virus to clear.
