If you get ferrous fumarate taken off prescription again, be aware that it is available from pharmacists without a prescription, although it is up to the pharmacist's discretion whether or not they sell it to you.
I have got it in the past from Tesco Pharmacy and Lloyds Pharmacy. I bought some yesterday at a Lloyds Pharmacy and discovered the price has risen rather a lot since I last bought it, but it still isn't hugely expensive.
I paid £6.50 for a box of 84 tablets of ferrous fumarate 210mg. It would have been quite a lot cheaper online, but I tend to be rather impatient with some things and prefer to buy in person if I can.
Great, and how did you manage to persuade him?
