Heard on BBC Radio2 earlier that Concordia are massively overcharging the NHS for liothyronine. 10 years ago one pack cost £4.46, it currently costs £258.19! A 6,000% rise 😡 More about it here: theguardian.com/business/20...

Concordia Pharmaceutical company overcharging for Liothyronine
jimh111 has said in another post on this subject that Concordia are saying their company (companies) are moving towards bankruptcy. Moving funds offshore more like - cynical old me
Please urgently write to The Project Director of this case at the CMA – Ronan Flanagan
'ronan.flanagan@cma.gsi.gov.uk'
Tell him that it is widely known amongst the Thyroid Community that Concordia are on the verge of bankruptcy, or alternatively are hiding their profits offshore.
Tell him that if the CMA does not progress this case very urgently, there will be no money or company to pursue and the NHS will not be reimbursed.
Also if that situation occurs, the price of Liothyronine will remain highly inflated.
Thanks for your input. I will be writing!
Imagine, a pharmaceutical company going bankrupt - my heart bleeds for them 🤑
I wrote to Jeremy Hunt four years ago, had pages of gobbledegook back and referred to NHS England - just wondering why it's taken them this long to realise what's been going on !
