My friends son has lots of hypo symptoms and had some private test results done. There is a very strong family history of Thyroid disease also. Can anyone advise if these results are normal?
Test results - are they normal? : My friends son... - Thyroid UK
Test results - are they normal?
Someone who knows will be along shortly, I'm sure, all I can say is...
If I were you, I'd edit the photo to remove the personal details.
The results seem ok.
He's currently euthyroid - normal thyroid function with no raised antibodies.
Has he been checked for vitamin and iron deficiencies? Lots of people particularly children eat badly and don't get outside enough.
Btw now you can remove the photo
I’ve said to his mum to get vitamins & iron tested. The next thing I think could be adrenal testing. I managed to edit the photo!
Yep, euthyroid currently, no antibodies.
Hi advise her to get Vit D, B12, folate and iron tested. Low levels of all of these have symptoms which can mimic hypo ones - especially fatigue and muscle/joint pain. Everyone needs good levels to utilise thyroid hormone correctly (even our own). When she gets results repost for advice as like thyroid just in range is not good enough. SeasideSusie gives excellent advice on good levels and supplementing to correct bad ones.
Thank you. Yep, i’ve Told her that & she’s on the case. I have some good quality vitamins that I can recommend to her. We are also thinking adrenals or lymes disease.
