Billy Kenber is brilliant at keeping this in the news. Thanks for posting.

Agree! I follow him on Twitter. He received a top journalism award this June for his breaking of the Concordia/Liothyronine scandal back in his first article on the subject (June 2016). Justly deserved.

It is rich that the BTA are calling for the costs to be reduce on Liothironine when, in their own words: ' ...it is likely that using T3 and T4 will

increase your risk of stroke and osteoporosis from slight over treatment over many years. Combination therapy is therefore not recommended.' They shouldn't be given a platform with views like this. In addition, the Concordia spokesperson is talking out of her formal humerous, as she fails to acknowledge that loads of people successfully self-medicate with cheap T3 bought from other places on the Globe.

Really grateful for this post. I am in the middle of a battle to try to keep my t3. Doctor says I will need to change as it’s not suitable now. What a load of old xxxx. We all know and I told her so it’s the cost.

I am waiting for her to get back to me, apparently she is checking to see if I am able to continue with it. I don’t hold out much hope but this article will hopefully help. Thanks again.

Well then you should appeal because as close as dam it is to swearing the CCG will be dictating the decision. Tell your doctor you want to appeal. If they don’t you tell GP you are being forced into a corner and due to health concerns you have no option other than to report them to the GMC and take your complaint to the health ombudsman. I did post on here how to do that and telephone numbers if you can’t find it pm me. Don’t let them get away with it and of course go to your MP. Jeremy Hunt was tweeting yesterday about cyber bullying. Really what do you call the underhanded way they have tried to remove T3.
