Hi, I'm new in this group. I joined hoping to glean info on how the new levothyroxine formula is affecting people. I've been on this medication for years now but seem to be having some side effects with the new formula.

Have you been changed to Teva? Lots of members have had problems.
Ask to go back to your previous brand if you were happy with it and do a yellow card report about Teva yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk
Hi I live in France and we were changed to the new formula in March, I was fine until the end of April when I suddenly started getting very bad acid reflux, stomach cramps panic attacks and headaches felt terrible. Have even had an Endoscopy and colonoscopy as the doctor didn’t believe it was related to the change! (though the specialist didn’t rule it out) the checks were fine. After pushing the doctor more, have just managed to get my tablet changed to a different mark, early days but hopefully serve pains calmed down, panic attacks fewer fingers crossed 🤞
I think I read somewhere, may have been on here, that France had now brought back the original formula after many complaints. I would ask the Pharmacist
I have been on Levo for quite sometime and now actually have the "real" product according to the packaging. I can't say I have noticed any difference even though the dose has been increased from 75mg to 100mg. I still feel really tired and some days is a complete effort to get motivated but as with us all - we keep going! I have found going to the gym 3 times a week, with a personal trainer who tries to understand how I'm feeling each session, has helped and, when the weather was warm and bright I was walking up to 6 miles a day after work. I know many here told me that the gym was the last thing I should be doing but I really believe it has helped. I will be 63 in January and realised, as with all things, I am the only one who can control much of what happens and getting older is not for the feeble!
I hope you guys can find some balance with your meds and I do understand how difficult it is to find a GP who tries to understand that we are not moaning for the sake of it, we really do feel like c**p!
