I have been told that when I go back to my endo in January he will most likely suggest radiation as you never go into remission twice. Is that good information? I was in remission for 6 years until 4 weeks or so ago.

Once you have relapsed it's likely to happen again. I opted for RAI and all good since.

I just feel like I want a second chance as it was 3 consecutive stressful events that led to the relapse and I had returned to eating sugar and diet soda the last few years. I'm now back on track confident I can maintain a healthy diet and manage my stress better longterm this time. well I will talk this over with him in January Cait

Your endo can't insist on you having RAI or thyroidectomy if you are comfortable taking Carbimazole. Carbimazole can be taken for years if required. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/286...
