Has anyone here been diagnosed and given medication despite their bloods/ranges falling within the normal category? If so, who was the endocrinologist who diagnosed? Very desperate here atm.

The OP's blood test results are available in the comments of this post: healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
I have read about so many people who have normal ranges and of doctors who don't listen to the Bloods but you look at the body and listen to the symptoms instead. I am desperately seeking to see such a doctor.
Thanks fedup. ITY kindly posted a link to them above. Apparently some endos don't even think about central either and mavericks like Dr Skinner gave medication on appearance and symptoms of patients alone? Along with others who I have heard about including one in Aberdeen.

Unfortunately, most of our doctors trained before the 60's have retired or died. that was before blood tests and levothyroxine were invented. Then it was all about clinical symptoms.
thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_...
That was when they diagnosed according to our clinical symptoms alone and prescribed a trial of NDT.
Many of our members self-medicate but many might be wary of doing so.
Do you have the results of your latest blood tests along with the ranges? If so post. If not I would recommend a new blood test at the very earliest possible as that's when the TSH is highest and can mean the difference between being diagnosed or not.
The NHS wont do Free T4 and Free T3 but you can have these privately.
Those who have consulted with an Endocrinologist (a good one) will respond. You can also email louise.roberts@thyroiduk.org.uk who has a list of doctors. You can post the name you choose and ask for a Private Message to be sent to you as no info is permitted on the open forum.
Blood tests have to be at the very earliest, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours between last dose of levothyroxine (if you were taking any) and test and take afterwards. Also ask for B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate. Deficiencies can also cause symptoms.
