I feel as though I am on wrong dosage of Levi thyroxine considering am 112kgs 125 micrograms isn't working because I am still cold though extreme cramping has easened, it's still there in my limbs. My physician in Kenya is honest that she'll keep trying different doses until something works! Kindly assist

You very possibly are on the wrong dose. But, it's nothing to do with your weight. That's not how it works.

Calculating a dose by weight is for people who've had a thyroidectomy, for their first dose after the operation. After that, it's adjusted by blood tests. Do you have a copy of your last blood test?

For people who haven't had a thyroidectomy, the protocol is simple. You start on a low dose - usually 50 mcg - and get retested after six weeks. Your dose is increased by 25 mcg, and you get a retest after another six weeks. And, you continue like that, with six weekly increments, until your symptoms are gone. The blood tests are a guide to make sure you don't go too far, because distinguishing between under-medication symptoms and over-medication symptoms, can sometimes be tricky. :)
