It takes 6 weeks for the full effects of a dose change to be felt, which is the reason why it's advised to retest 6-8 weeks after any dose change. It may take longer to feel as good as the results look!

plushbear, how long did it take to bump you up to 100 mcgs. A normal dose is more like 200 mcgs. That was a very tiny raise. Do you know what your test result was when he decided to raise it?

I live in Canada. I just started four days ago. It is 100mg. A yellow pill. I hope it is going to work. Was weak on the .88mcg.

It's a good idea to get printouts of your blood tests. Just ask for them. These are the levels you should have once you are being treated for hypothyroidism or Hashimoto's. Find out if you have antibodies. It will make a difference. Canadian levels are at the bottom.

How long did you take 88 mcgs?

Doesn't that depend whether you have a partially functioning thyroid or not? I know people who have been on 125mcg for years and are well. It may also depend on body weight and how much regular activity you do. I agree it's a tiny raise though, and that a set of recent thyroid results would be helpful for seeing the way forward.

I took it for three months. Just started the 100mg. I guess it takes some time to work.
