Hi: Hi all!My name is Nadeshka! - Thyroid UK
Hi
Welcome to our forum Nadeshka, and if you could give us an idea of your thyroid problem.
You have given us no information, i.e. when were you diagnosed, with what:-
Do you have hashimoto's (an Autoimmune Thyroid Disease - with antibodies) hypothyroidism or hyperthyroid.
Are your taking thyroid hormone replacement?
All blood tests should be at the very earliest, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours between your last dose of levothyroxine and the test and take it afterwards. This helps keep your TSH at its highest as that appears to be the only result doctors look at.
I have been diagnosed for just over two years, but the problems naturally started before. I have the Hashimoto. I briefly took thyroxine, and then I switched to the natural hormone I had bought so far from Amazon. I also accept various additives - vit. D, selenium periodically, vitamin E, magnesium, omega 3, e.t.c. I'm gluten-free and soy.
I'm with a hypothyroid. Personally, my opinion is that T4, T3, reverse T3, TCC, antibodies should be tested. cortisol, vitamin levels, E, B12, permeable gut, insulin. But doctors refuse.
The most important is how you feel. The fact that your are also sourcing your own NDT from Amazon, but if you need any advice from members you can post your results with the ranges on a new post if you don't have them today.
You are doing all of the recommended things, i.e. gluten-free etc.
