Gluten free evidence?

Hi

I've read lots of posts that suggest those with hashi's should go gluten free to reduce anti-bodies.

My question today is: Has anyone had any lab results to support this idea?

I'm not gluten free and my TPOab's have gone down from 3,000 to 500 when last tested. I don't think you'd ever be able to say definitively, that going gluten free reduces antibodies. What is crucial is keeping your levels good and supplementing to support your thyroid.

Yes. My antibodies reduced dramatically within a year of going gluten free.

May 2016 anti thyroidperoxidase antibodies 869 kIU/L(prior to going gluten free

I went gluten free August 2016

October 2016 - anti tpa 372.6 kIUL. Anti thyroglobulin abs 614.7

February 2017 - anti tpa 272.5. Anti tg abs 221.7

August 2017 - anti tpa 198.8. Anti tg abs 75.3

So quite a significant drop.

I look better. All the swelling round face, neck, arms etc has gone completely.
