Hi I'm underactive and take 125mg a day of Levothyroxine. My recent bloods show I'm slightly abnormal, the receptionist said normal is 0.27 and mine is 0.24. I've been told to continue on 125mg but repeat my bloods in 12 weeks. Can anyone explain what this means as I've never been given this much information before, I'm just told my new dose or to stay the same. Thanks

If you feel well, don't change it.
Ask for full thyroid and vitamin testing first before even considering, but highly unlikely you need to reduce
If FT3 and FT4 are with in range after testing then dose is fine
Do you have Hashimoto's also called autoimmune thyroid disease - high antibodies. If not been tested then again ask that they are
Vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 need testing too. Always get actual results and ranges. Just any where in range may not be good enough and may need supplementing when taking Levo. This may improve uptake of Levo
All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting and don't take Levo in the 24 hours prior to test, this keeps TSH at highest and stops GP trying to reduce dose
Am assuming that is your TSH result - so it looks fine. You also need to know FT4 & FT3. Thyroid anti-bodies ?
Did you get your VitD tested as suggested on your post of a couple of years ago ? Also B12 - Folate - Ferritin ? How are the joints ?
