Levo anxiety symptoms?

Hi all

After trying ndt I didn't feel much better onto two grains so I've tried the levo route, which I only nibbled at previously on 25 then (long story)

I've been in 50 for a while and upped to 75 yesterday, I react sensitively to tablets on the whole and as strange as it sounds it's been hard to get up to this dose

My problem lies with the fear sensations I get, it's really vamped up (feels like pending doom etc, I suppose I'm in high alert!)

Anyone else have this please? Would love to hear from another sufferer, it really is the pits to feel this way, it seems such a waste of good life!!

And will it get more vamped up if I up it more? Thought is unbearable?

Any advice really appreciated

Also as working it's like pressure continually to keep going

I'm in te a, it seemed better than the wark... German one, and I've tried mercury, it's much like this one

ThanksI

Jeppy x

Hey the same thing happens to me when I went from 50 to 75 I had so much anxiety and panic I thought I would die so I quit at the 3rd week.. well my hypothyroidism got worse so my doc told me to try it again so this time I was conscious of those side effects of an increased dose and now I'm at week 6 with zero panic and very very little anxiety... just hang in there and give it a try and know that those side effects are ugly but they do go away what really help me was not thinking to much of anything. That was triggering my anxiety.

Hashies are prone to anxiety, I get anxious about getting lost when out in the car at night by myself. I reason with myself "this is stupid - its just a feeling, but its very distressing" I know I have a GPS on my phone etc but I'm freaking out and feeling worse and worse.

I have been on NDT for 2 years now and get almost suicidal anxiety all day long if I try and go back on Levo. I figure my body has got lazy about converting T4 and without the T3 in NDT, my brain is having a melt.

I also get it if I've forgotten to take my NDT for 5-6 hours, again I'm going low T3 I suspect.

There is also just Levo - google thyroxine side effects - how many do you get. I have about 6-8 of them.

It's very possible the fillers are not doing good for you . Switching to another brand can be very helpful . Nutrients are a MUST for our thyroid meds to work . Selenium , Vit"D", B-12/folate , Iron must test to see if ferritin levels are low .

I could't take more than 75mcg of Levo. Tried twice to increase to 100mcg, but got exactly the same symptoms. On one occasion I went to the GP and said I felt a bit chesty / breathless, could it be the increase. No he said but packed me off to a walk in chest clinic. I heard him say on the phone to them could they check me over to rule out embolisms! So had to dash off from work and go there and then.

Had blood tests, blood gases checked, ecg. Chest fine. Consultant said all symptoms were down to the increase in Levo. He suggested trying 75mcg one day 100mcg the next, but I didn't want to risk it. I switched to NDT the next month. I had a really rocky journey the first few months, but have eventually settled on just under 2 grains of Erfa. It equates roughly to 100mcg Levo. Have been OK though have had adrenal issues and taking months to improve those. Probably won't increase the Erfa much more if at all.

Thanks All Iv been away

...feel better to know I'm not alone, good luck to all

I'm regularly with anxious feelings and introspection! Like a demon sat there waiting to pounce. I feel more forgetful which is scary too

I too stopped the Levo and had all the hypo symptoms again of falling asleep etc. I then had chesty phlegm and also had chest x Ray

Yes the fillers in it caused it I'm sure

Now trying mercury xx
