Smell and funny taste

Past few days I've been tasting a funny taste in my mouth and can constantly smell as if someone is smoking near me. Taste is sort of the same.

I don't smoke and now one in my house does. Smoking is not allowed in work either.

Has anyone had this, or know what might cause it, or am I just going mad with lack of sleep?

It happens, you aren't going mad. I haven't had the taste disruption in a couple of years but I still have random strange smells, not unpleasant like cigaratte smoke, but pleasant like a fleeting perfume scent, baking bread, fresh coffee, frying onions etc.

Thank you again Clutter. Had this for years and first time I've had this smell thing! I just thought, what now!

But thank you for answering at least I know I'm not going mad 😂
