Whereas the NHS England Consultation says Liothyronine is clinically effective but that Levothyroxine is a cheaper and effective alternative.

That may be so but we know it is not clinically effective for everyone. They are referring to the millions who do well on levo. For those who don't improve and those who don't have access to the internet are being told that there is no alternative as their results are 'in range' and are being left by the wayside and those who were doing well on a combo of T4/T3 have had T3 withdrawn.

It is quite heartless. It is also not easy to access T3 now. Also the waste of NHS money prescribing 'extras' for the symptoms such as anti-d's etc.pain-relief and investigations for the 'symptoms' which are due to inefficient dose(s).
