I'm another thyroid sufferer who has gone downhill since taking the new Teva formulation. I have been on this since April and have given it a fair chance but I have become increasingly unwell with joint pains, feeling very stiff in the mornings and hardly being able to walk to the bathroom, itchy eyes and now my blood pressure has gone down quite alot but not in the danger zone yet! I went to see my local Pharmasist yesterday and he was very concerned. He told me to discontinue taking the Teva brand and said he would order Activis for me to pick up today. I now have Activis which I will start taking tonight. I am hoping I will soon get back to some sort of normality - even 85% would be good! I will let you know how I get on with Activis in a few weeks time.

Hi. I was on Teva and had the same problem with joint pains especially in the mornings after taking the Levo. My knees and hips especially ached. I only started on Levo a few months ago so I gave the Teva a chance thinking the aching joints might be the hypo but after reading many posts here about it I asked my pharmacy to let me try another brand and see how I get on. They got me Activis which I started 8 days ago and my joints do seem to be feeling better already. If I get joint pain free, or less painful joints at least, they will make a note on my record to only give me Activis in future. Good luck with your Activis, hope it helps you too.

Thanks AngieAsh, I have been on Levo since I was 45, I am now 65 so 20 years. I have never felt so bad as I do now so I hope this change in brand will sort me out! I am glad you are feeling better

Apparently Teva has applied for a licence to manufacture T3. I dread to think what the quality of their T3 will be like... ;(

I’ve been taking the T3 for several days now, and feel terrible ☹️ Apparently there’s no Mercury Pharma left, but I think having read comments on here, I’ll stop for the duration of xmas.

forever_tired,

Your post here - on a four month old thread - is likely to be missed by many/most members. I suggest you do a brand new post.

Given your post of ten months ago, where you felt dreadful dropping from 100 to 80 micrograms, I am very concerned at your plan to stop over Christmas... I fear you could feel even worse.

Thanks for the response helvella, I wasn’t really expecting anyone to be reading or responding right now, so I was probably more just venting off steam. I really don’t feel well on this stuff though, and painkillers aren’t shifting the headache. You are most likely correct however, so I will think carefully. I just want a clear head again. Anyway, Happy Christmas to you! Have a great one. Xx
