STP's

Not the oil/ additives company but Sustainability and Transformation partnerships .44 of them made up of regional CCGs and councils. The NHS CEO wants them to overcome the " veto power" of hospitaltrusts and CCGs. This could mean overiding local concerns on closures.According to the Eye these STPs meet in secret and do not publish minutes. However ,one London CCG is challenging their legality.

Google it for details in your region.

Treepie,

I read that Hackney CCG is bringing a legal challenge against NHS England attempting to force them to accept a STP.

What a surprise! I had not heard of STPs until reading about them in Private Eye. It seems the NHS is forever being reorganised.Perhaps Health Authorities and Family Practitioner Committees will be re- invented down the line.

Treepie,

Oh probably. Just a shame these efficiency improvements are always so damn expensive.
