Hi all, I need to know if possible best questions to ask Doc tomorrow. He's totally on my side, it's the specialist I struggle with.
I was on 125mg Levothyroxine and 20mg Liothyronine. Specialist wanted me to reduce Levothyroxine to 75mg, and put me back on Liothyronine after NHS removed it. I've gone to 100mg and back with 20mg Liothyronine. Pains I was having are gone apart from left arm and a bit left leg. Still can't use left arm properly and still in pain, but managing.
What are my best questions please? Am dreading the specialist trying to remove Liothyronine again when I see him in November. So need to get my case across now to allow my Doctor time to communicate with my specialist.
Thank you all again in advance.

Have the blood test early in the morning and fast beforehand (water only) as TSH is highest early and drops after eating and drinking. Take Levothyroxine and T3 after the blood draw.
I don't understand what case there is to make to your GP. Specialist reinstated your Liothyronine so why would he remove it in November?
If you are optimally dosed I think there should be some investigation into why you are having pain and are unable to use your left arm.
My blood tests have already been done. They very seldom ask for a fasting one though. Usually get it done first thing in the morning before work, but this last time was mid afternoon.
I'm going to do fasting from now on and not take any tablets that's something I've been thinking about for a while.
My pain is i think because they left me without liothyronine whilst they were deciding on whether I should have it or not. November I finally get a consultation with the specialist after two years! That's when he's going to decide if I get to stay on it, or if he thinks it's better to take me off!!!
Currently I will need to order my prescription through the hospital and pick up at the hospital Pharmacy. That is until the decision is made. That's why I'm worried they'll take it off me again. I can't cope going through all that pain again as well as being unable to work. I'm fed up of needing to fight all the time and wanted to know if anyone had any good points I needed to raise.
As far as doctors are concerned it doesn't matter what time of day you have thyroid tests and they don't think you need to fast. These are just patient-to-patient tips to test when TSH is highest.
I can't think of any points to raise with your GP that will influence your endo, other than that you feel better taking Liothyronine.
We're all worried that Liothyronine may be withdrawn from NHS so please contact your MP and complete the NHS Consultation.
Yes done the MP started the NHS form but found it annoying with strange questions. Need to sit in peace and quiet and go through it again. But will complete it.
