I've been having thyroid issues for around a year and I am said to have sub-clinical hypo. No treatment of course as my results are only slightly above the normal range 'nonsense as usual' and my gp will of course wait until my results are bad enough to warrant treatment. No comment on this useless approach. Luckily i don't feel unwell really. Anyways I'm wondering if anyone has seen a doctor who is willing to actually look for the underlying cause (from tons of reading and research I understand that if searched for the cause could be found and my body is in that warning stage of something not being right) rather than treating the patient playing the numbers' game once it's all gone wrong. I'm looking in the London area but happy to travel. Would be good if covered by big insurance companies. Is there anyone out there who has met a doctor like this? I'm considering seeking advice abroad as I'm so unimpressed by the approach in the UK. Many thanks!
