Probiotics can increase serotonin.
Probiotics are recommended for Hashimoto's
For SSRI the number needed to treat to get licenced is 7. So 1 out of 7 people recovers on SSRI. It doesn't sound right does it. In room full SSRI users only handful has had full benefit and vast majority continue to feel rubbish.
I was offered but I declined as I knew I was not depressed anyway.
What they should be testing for more usefully would be the MTHFR gene mutation which may mean your methylation does not work properly and can cause depression in the first place plus may make you actually resistant to antidepressants.
