Hi am new to this site and not been completely diagnosed yet but had a BTest and was found to have hyperthyroidism so started on 10mg carbimazole had a blood test a few weeks ago. Went to the doctors as feeling really rough for him to tell me that I now have hypothyroidism. Is this normal????

Have you had any antibodies done? If not, ask for your TPO antibodies to be tested. Sounds as if you have Hashi's, and were only temporarily 'hyper'. Unfortunately, doctors never think to test the antibodies, they just have a knee-jerk reaction when they see a low TSH, and assume it's hyper. They really have no idea!
Thanks for that I don't think that has been tested. I only found out that's it's gone the other way today when I went to my GP as I'm feeling generally unwell and he told me then which is awesome.
I also would like to find out what Graves' disease is and the symptoms that people have experienced particularly eye problems??
